F.A.Q on the
Entertainers! |
Q: Our party will have both boys AND girls, will everyone like the princess performer? A: Nearly every party we bring our magic to has little princes too! After hundreds of shows, we are confident all kids, every age and gender will love princess performer who: consciously strives to make her magic or puppet story inclusive, AND who can paint awesome designs like Spiderman, Batman, pirates, tigers & dragons, AND twists balloon designs like swords & airplanes that all kids love! Another option is choosing a less gender-typed character, like our approachable non-scary Clown, or our adorable Ballerina Fairy Princess so your less-dainty guests can be the Peter Pans or Elves! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: How does your performance go? Can you walk me through a party? A: We suggest you schedule our visit 30 minutes – 1 hour after your guests are inviting, keeping in mind party guests are always late, and you don’t want to waste your time with us waiting for your guests to arrive. If you have a party with lots of family and guests you know will be late and linger, we are sometimes invited to come near the end of the party, the last 90 minutes. We arrive in costume, and typically begin with our Kid-Oriented Magic Show or Puppet Storytelling, which are lively and interactive and give the kids a chance to get to know us. By the end they feel very warmed up to the magical guest! Then we usually do face painting for everyone and twist balloons for everyone. We can usually get through this plan with enough time for everyone if there are less than 18 kids, if you’ll have more we suggest dropping an activity or adding time or a second or third performer – which is awesome! You can trade the face painting or balloon twisting for songs, picture taking, or anything else creative you might request. When we wave goodbye, we’ll leave you with great photos and your child’s dream come true! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: How far in advance should we book? A: We are grateful to be busy performers! Our schedule sells out most weekends. Call us early in your process, even if just to check availability, we can let you know how a certain weekend is looking. Still, YES, we can often fill last minute calls, even day of, call us and ask! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: Do you perform on weekdays too? We are having a weekday party, or a special visit to my child’s school! A: Absolutely, we perform at lots of schools and at weekday parties, just ask! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: Can you perform at parks, in schools, or another special place? A: Absolutely, we have performed all over the place! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: Can she stay longer? We have a lot of little guests. A: We stay beyond 90 minutes for individual photos or if you have more than 18 kids and want her to face paint and make balloons for everyone. Save her time now as you book for $40 for an extra 30 minutes. You are welcome to ask her at the party if she has time to stay then, which she may or may not. That often depends on the wanton routes of pumpkin carriages! What about having two or three performers for your little guests? Mere pennies toward big smiles and much less stress on you as the hostess. Fabulous photos, and our prices are low enough compared to other companies, with longer visits and higher standards, all for less that more than one performer is still a low price. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: My little sunshine is only 1 or 2 years old, is your visit a good idea? A: Yes! We are kind, approachable, and our puppets and balloons are an intriguing spectacle. We do a LOT of first birthdays where there are usually a wide age range of cousins and siblings. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: Anything else I should know or prepare? How much space do you need? A: We don’t come early to change, we feel it is more magical to arrive in character. Setting up takes only a minute and we do it swiftly while the children are sitting down. We perform in very diverse venues: from five-star hotel stages with microphones to small apartment living rooms, we only need enough space for the kids to sit on the floor around us. We bring everything we’ll use, you only need to get us some water for face painting. We know you have enough to think about, but thanks for considering! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: Do I need to call to confirm? You do not need to call to confirm. We take performances very, very seriously and keep immaculate records we fondly call our Royal Scrolls. Once you are scheduled with your credit card deposit, we will definitely be arriving at the location on the date we saved, ready for magic! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: This looks like so much fun! Any tips to make it even better? A: Sure! We wish everyone knew these two things: First, try planning a Sunday party. No one knows that everyone vies for those prime Saturday spots when you can have BOTH more character options AND your perfect time easily on a Sunday! You’ll also get your guests more easily as Saturdays are packed with soccer games and other parties the kids need to get to. Secondly, when we arrive, we can perform a great show inside or outside, but you will always get better sound quality and more participation from the kids when they are indoors which contains their attention better, at least for opening showtime You’ll get the very best show if we have a tree or wall behind us to minimize distractions, and if we are away from the food table where the happy adults are often chatting (mere coincidence? Ha!). If you aren’t sure the best place for our “stage” just ask us to choose when we arrive. The basic idea is to isolate the children’s attention so there are as few loud distractions around as possible, which is tricky at a party, but we can you find a great spot, at least if only for the first part when we do the formal show. When we face paint or twist balloons we can easily be anywhere at all! We have been to tons of successful children’s events, so you’re in good hands! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: What is your cancellation and change policy? A: EACH AGENT ADDS THIS PER THEIR POLICIES ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: We have a first, second and third choice character in mind, we are about to check if you are available for our party…What are the activity choices again? A: For 18 kids or less she can do: Magic Show or Puppet Story AND Face Painting AND Balloon Twisting You can also exchange activities for singing and dancing (like the Hokey Pokey, etc), or Hula dance lessons (by the Hula Dancer) or Fairy Ballet lessons (by the Ballerina Fairy Princess only). You can also request us to participate in anything creative you conjur eup and see if we have done it before or can do it for you (ex: lead your craft project, etc). ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: Are you real? A.
Yes, of course.
